3rd Annual Thanksgiving Night Open House 6-8pm

Last 2 years for Thanksiving we decided to try and open in the evening. It was a HUGE success, so we are doing it again. We had so many customers come in and shop as a little break in between Thanksgiving dinner and dessert. The ladies loved it, mom, sisters and aunts all took a break from "the men & kids" to get a little girl time in. This was also a perfect opportunity for those who haven't stopped in because of their work schedules, to come and see what Aimee's Cottage has.

We Ask For New Consignments, and We Got Them!

Last month we put out ads searching for new consignment for the holidays. As the old saying goes, “Ask and you shall receive”, that’s exactly what happened. We went from 4 consignments in the store to 14, in less than a month, how exciting!! All of our new artists are local from, Minooka, Morris, Shorewood, Manhattan, Lockport, Plainfield, Bloomington & Pekin, Illinois.
You will still find all the great quality in Home Décor and Gifts that you have grown to love in Aimee’s Cottage, along with some new upscale quality handmade items, that I know you’re going to fall in love with. We personally select all of our artists, making sure they meet the guidelines and standards that we have set in place, to bring you nothing but the finest quality possible, at reasonable prices on décor that will last for generations.
We are NOT a craft store, we do not have booths, we incorporate all of our artists items within the store. Chances are you won’t be able to tell which is handmade (hint** actually, the better quality item is usually handmade vs. the wholesale purchased item, because of the love & care put into making it).

Welcome Lilibug Designs & Covered with Hope

Aimee's Cottage welcomes two new local artists, Carolyn Arcuri, with Lilibug Designs and Sue Meilleur, with Covered with Hope. Carolyn, does personalized gifts, from beautiful hairbow holders, toothfairy pillows, to children's clothing and more. She is currently working on Personalized Halloween totes and more.

Sue, started her business by crocheting a cap for her dear neighbor, who was going through chemo and was encouraged to create more. Her "chemo" and fashion caps are now being sold in a local Christain Store. Sue has created adorable Pumpkin hats for infants/children, this fall especially for Aimee's Cottage. Aimee's Cottage would like to welcome Sally Peck, the owner of The Cherry On Top. Sally is a NEW Local Artist to join our store, specializing in Custom Hair Bows for All Occssions/Holidays. Her line also includes, Decorated Onesies Gift Sets, Hat & Bow Gift Sets, Tutu's, Mother & Daughter Aprons, Crayon Travel Totes, and So Much More!

Here's a little bio on how The Cherry On Top was started, by Sally:
The Cherry On Top Bows was created in 2006, shortly after the birth of my first daughter. I put a little bow in her fine, wispy hair and was hooked! I started out making custom bows for my daughter's outfits. I received so many compliments that I began creating custom bows for my friend's little girls. What started out as something I did every once in a while was turning in to my second job! After our second daughter arrived in 2009, I knew that not only did I need to continue building on the success I had in creating and selling bows, I needed to expand the business. That is when I dusted off the old sewing machine and started making dresses, shoes, jean jackets, crayon totes, onesies, and more. I believe every little girl should have "girly" things in her closet. I thank my daughters, for reminding me of this every day!

Looking for New Consignment

As the holidays are fast approaching, Aimee's Cottage is currently seeking new "artists" to sell their merchandise on consignment in our store. We are NOT a craft mall/store, we do NOT have booths...We sell Home Decor, Gifts & More...we carry mostly wholesale merchandise, from country to Tuscany, from baby/tween to wedding and incorporate a few carefully selected upscale, local "artists" wares throughout the store to give it that added touch.

If you have a hobby and you have been looking to find a way to sell it to the public, without having to waste your time at craft shows, then this may be for you.
